TELLING THE TIME IN ENGLISH

THE TIME !!

How to say  the time in english ?
There are two common ways of telling the time.
1) Say the hour first and then the minutes. (Hour + Minutes)
  • 6:25 - It's six twenty-five
  • 8:05 - It's eight O-five (the O is said like the letter O)
  • 9:11 - It's nine eleven
  • 2:34 - It's two thirty-four
2) Say the minutes first and then the hour.  (Minutes + PAST / TO + Hour)
For minutes 1-30 we use PAST after the minutes.
For minutes 31-59 we use TO after the minutes.
  • 2:35 - It's twenty-five to three
  • 11:20 - It's twenty past eleven
  • 4:18 - It's eighteen past four
  • 8:51 - It's nine to nine
  • 2:59 - It's one to three

MY PET

This is my pet. Its name is Peluso. His eyes are brown and big, his nose is small his  tall  is small  and short.  It´s hair is white and wavy. He's  friendly and  funny  but very sleepy . He is thirteen  years old. he loves the meat sticks and toast in the mornings. he also likes to play with his ball to bite it and bring it to me to play with his.  He's afraid of storms, so when they day or night is rainy, He sleeps with me.  When I get home from work,   he looks very happy to see me,   he jumps and barks very excited by my presence. he is a great company, and he is the best pet i ever never had.

DAD STORY

Father's Day is a day of commemoration and celebration of Dad. It is a day to honor your father.  Father's Day is celebrated in US in June . Other countries celebrate  this day throughout the year. In Spain it is celebrated on March, 19th. And to commemorate this day here is a short story of Dad and his abilities.

PRESENTATION


WELCOME TO BLOG ¨LET´S  HAVE LEARNING ENGLISH

La incorporación de las Tecnologías para la Información y la Comunicación en los procesos educativos, y en particular la enseñanza del inglés, aportan beneficios al proceso de aprendizaje, tal es el caso del desarrollo de habilidades  comunicativas necesarias para el trabajo cotidiano de los estudiantes, en los nuevos medios digitales como los blogs.

La utilización del  blog  ofrece a los estudiantes diferentes oportunidades de aprendizaje ya que cada uno de ellos pueda acceder a estas prácticas. El blog  suponen una oportunidad para la socialización en un espacio más informal que el aula, donde los estudiantes desarrollen las cuatro habilidades básicas del idiomas  a saber : escuchar  , hablar , leer  y  escribir al ser un espacio público también les ayudará  a desarrollar su sentido de responsabilidad en cuanto a la calidad del trabajo realizado

En definitiva el  blog por su formato y dinámica nos van a ayudar a construir una nueva metodología que permita experimentar con nuevos modelos educativos, y con múltiples posibilidades de aplicación , logrando productos integrados con recursos como textos, videos, imágenes, opciones de comentarios, espacios interactivos, registro de entradas, entre otros, que lo convierten en una herramienta con características apropiadas para promover el enfoque comunicativo, en particular la escritura en el idioma que se está aprendiendo, es decir desarrollen su creatividad y el deseo natural de expresarse mejor.
